Katherine McNamara (born November 22, 1995) is an American actress and singer. She portrays Kat in the Freeform series, The Fosters.

Life and Career

Katherine has guest starred on shows including Drop Dead Diva and 30 Rock. She was also in some movies such as New Years Eve. She is furthermore set to star in the Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn film remake.

She appeared on the Disney XD show Kickin' It, in which she had a recurring role as Claire, Kim's rival, as well as appearing as Myra Santelli in the Disney Channel movie Girl vs. Monster.

She also appeared in two episodes of Jessie, playing Bryn Breitbart, as well as an episode of the new Nickelodeon series The Thundermans. Afterward, she appeared in the independent movie Contest.

Katherine was cast in the MTV series Happyland as Harper, a resident of the park who goes after Ian despite the fact that she has a boyfriend, Will (Moulene), a character performer at the park.

On December 22, 2014, it was announced that Kathrine was cast for as Sonya in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials the sequel to The Maze Runner. Sonya was a co-leader of Group B and a recurring character in the series.

Katherine played Kat on the third season of The Fosters.

On May 6th, 2015 the producers announced that she would be playing Clary Fray in Shadowhunters, the television adaptation of Cassandra Clare's best-selling book series, The Mortal Instruments.

In 2018, it was announced that she would be playing "Mia" also known as "Blackstar" in the seventh season of the hit-show, Arrow. In early 2019, her full characters name was revealed to be Mia Smoak, the daughter of Felicity Smoak and Oliver Queen.

• She once lost a ring while shooting a scene in The Fosters, and was afraid that everything would be messed up. However, she was able to find the ring before more scenes were shot.
